I make electronic music under the name Antres 808. Bass music, mostly — but it goes in a lot of directions depending on the day. Some dub influence, some ambient, some stuff I'm not sure how to categorize.
I started with guitar as a teenager — punk, metal. Then I got into rap, then electronic music, and never really came back. Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Amon Tobin, Noisia, High Tone — that's the kind of stuff that shaped what I try to do.
I don't have a grand artistic vision. I open Ableton, put some rhythms together, dig around, and at some point the track tells me where it wants to go. It's a bit like sculpting — removing everything that isn't the thing. I spend a lot of time building sound palettes before writing anything. Sometimes I'll make a fake track just to find the right color, then throw it all away and start over with the palette.
I have a tendency to not finish things. Working on that.

I did 2 years of sound engineering school in Lyon — acoustics, filters, electricity, studio recording. Then Reaktor pulled me deeper: patching modular synths, manipulating logic gates, until one day the question was just "how does a line of code produce a sound?" That question led me to programming. The music stayed.
